BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Police say a store in Burlington was robbed on Christmas Eve. It happened at the Willard Street Market  in the Old North End at around 5 p.m.

Fox44 spoke to the cashier after the robbery and they said the man burst through the front door, went behind the register and then demanded money. He claimed to have a weapon, but never showed it, police said.

He made off with cash and cigarettes. No injuries were reported.

The man is described as being white, 5'06" to 5'08", stocky build, wearing blue jeans, black shoes, a light green waist length coat, and a black sky style mask / hat.  He left the area northbound on North Willard Street.
