Police in Vermont are warning the public about door-to-door scammers.
Vermont State Police in Middlesex and local departments have received numerous complaints about fake salespeople knocking on doors.
Police say the most recent was a person selling Kirby vacuum cleaners. When the person called the company they said they didn't have any sales people in the area and they don't go ‘door-to-door.'
Police are asking people to be cautious if/when they answer the door. And if possible, they should try to get a good description of any suspicious person and the make/model of their vehicle.
