VERGENNES, Vt. -
In a year long investigation, police arrested 3 people in a massive drug bust in Vergennes, Vt. for selling massive amounts of heroin.
Police were undercover when they bought the drugs.
After searching a home in Leicester, Vt., they found more than 350 bags of heroin and more than $3,000.
31-year-old Brian Cumberbatch, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was arrested for trafficking heroin. He faces a fine of $1 million and 30 years in jail.
Police also arrested 30-year-old Jill Smith, of Middlebury, Vt., and 33-year-old Zebulon Brinkman, of Vergennes, Vt., for conspiracy to sell drugs and possession of heroin.
Police say a fourth arrest is pending.
All three suspects are being held at the Chittenden Correctional facility.
