A petition to dissolve the village of Champlain has been accepted.
At least 55 signatures were needed and they were all verified.
A long-time village resident says it's disintegrating.
The mayor says the exact opposite.
So what happens next?
They've got 30 days to set a referendum date. A public vote on dissolving the village will have to happen within 3 months.
If the vote is yes, the town of Champlain would take over services.
