MONTPELIER, Vt. -

The Green Mountain state is set to get $1 million from McGregor's Pharmacy to settle Medicaid and consumer fraud allegations.

Attorney General Bill Sorrell made the announcement Monday.

This settlement resolves a civil suit filed in March 2010.

The state says between April 2004 and December 2011, McGregor's obtained excessive payments from the Vermont Medicaid program by charging beneficiaries illegal fees and co payments.

The lump sum will be paid to the state over the next 7 years.
