AAA is forecasting the upcoming holiday season will be the busiest in 6 years for travelers!
If you're looking for a leg up on the crowds, Orbitz.com's senior editor says their an app for that.
This time of year, we can expect delays due to travel volume as well as bad weather at many of the major hub airports.
One thing you can do now is print out boarding passes and download travel apps for your phone.
"These can really be your life line if you're stuck at the airport or you need to check your flight status or rebook a flight or even book a hotel for the same day on the fly while you're traveling or at the airport," Jeanenne Tornatore, Orbitz.com Senior Editor, said.
According to AAA, the number of travelers taking to the skies is expected to increase about $5.5 million.
