LITTLETON, N.H. -
Police in Littleton, New Hampshire are investigating a break-in.
According to the owners of the "Littleton Diner", it would have taken a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to get at the money stolen.
It was in a 300-pound ATM bolted to a concrete floor.
The thieves cut open kitchen and dining room walls to tear out the machine and move it to the basement.
"They were in here awhile, I would imagine most of the night." "It's pretty heavy to drag so we think more than one person," Diner owners, Chris and Patti Williford said.
Police say drugs were probably a motivating factor. They're following leads, but there's no suspect yet.
The diner doesn't have a surveillance camera right now, but the owners are planning to install a security system when the new ATM arrives.
