Boloco Teaming Up With Burlington School Foods Project to Raise Funds

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Boloco, a local Burrito joint, is teaming up with Burlington School Foods Project, in hopes to raise funds.

The foods project serves more than 4,000 students per day.

This year, they're trying to get more and more organic foods into schools.

Boloco chose this program to be the beneficiary of their 12 days of giving campaign.

"The more students grow food, the more they touch it, cook with it, the more likely they are to choose it on the lunch line," Jenn McGowan, Burlington School Foods Project, said. "So all of our schools have salad bars that are filled with beautiful produce, locally in season. And we want them to take it and to eat it because its obviously very good for them."

25 cents from every burrito sold will go toward the foods project.

They hope to raise at least $1,500.
