KEESEVILLE, N.Y. -

New York State Police arrested 3 people in an attempted robbery attempt at the Keeseville Mobile Station in Keeseville, N.Y. Sunday evening.

Police say a male subject, wearing a black hoodie, baseball cap and bandana, entered the store and pointed a black pistol at the owner and demanded money. The owner then ducked behind the counter. The suspects fled on foot.

One of the subjects re-entered the store and asked if the owner was okay.

The 3 suspects, a 12-year-old boy, 16-year-old Dexter Nash, and 19-year-old Kevin Archer were quickly identified and were arrested without incident.

Police say an air soft pistol and other evidence were collected.

The 12-year-old boy was charged with one count of attempted robbery in the 2nd degree and one count of criminal possession of a weapon 4th degree. Nash and Archer were both charged with attempted robbery in the 2nd degree and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.

A press release says the 12-year-old was released to a guardian and will appear in Essex County Family Court at a later date. Nash and Archer were arraigned before the Town of Chesterfield Court and committed to the Essex County Jail in lieu of $5,000.00 bail.
