St. Albans Police are investigating an armed robbery at the South Main Grocery.
Police say two suspects, one male and the other female entered the store and placed a note on the counter. The female suspect displayed a knife during the robbery.
Police say both suspects took money from the cash register.
The female suspect is described as 5'4 to 5'6 and heavy set. The male is described as being 5'10 to 6' with medium build.
The suspects fled on foot and police say they were last seen running toward Upper Gilman St.
Police say they are withholding the amount stolen for investigative purposes.
