Essex County New York lawmakers are facing deep budget cuts for next year.
Just recently, they've added a hiring freeze to those cuts.
Monday night, residents will get a chance to weigh in.
Officials will be holding a public hearing on the proposed $4 million budget cuts at 6:30 p.m. at the Old County Courthouse in Elizabethtown. Officials hope the board gets the approval.
They will hold a special vote on the budget directly after the public hearing.
