Dartmouth College Says New Hazing Policy Seems to be Working

Posted: Updated:
HANOVER, N.H. -

A New Hampshire College is testing a new hazing policy.

Officials say so far, so good.

Earlier this year, a frat was found guilty of hazing.

Starting this fall, Dartmouth College officers began conducting random inspections of frat and sorority common areas and residence halls.

The new policies include offering limited immunity to those who report hazing.

They want to require that alcohol be served by licensed bartenders.

The new policies are unpopular with students, but college officials say it seems to be working.
