On Wednesday, a house on Muirfield Road, in Burlington's New North End, was burglarized.
The thieves made off with money, jewelry, and sentimental items.
Police say the items taken are worth about $20,000.
Burglaries in that area have been on the rise, police say, in the past 6 months alone there have been 31 break ins.
