ST. ALBANS, Vt. -
Only a few weeks ago we told you about state police's crack-down on wearing a seatbelt.
Well today, a woman who wasn't wearing her belt managed to beat the odds.
She literally walked away from a rollover accident.
Take a look at her car, she was taken to the hospital, but suffered only minor injuries.
It happened on I-89 South, near St. Albans about 11 this morning.
Another car was rear-ended when the driver of this car crossed into the left lane.
The other driver is also o.k.
But police say, this situation was the exception, not the rule.
"The seat belt is probably the most important piece of safety equipment we have, without the seat belt none of the other safety features in a vehicle will work," Vermont State Police Trooper Michael Anderson said.
So far, 74 people have been killed this year on Vermont roadways.
More than 70 percent of those people were not wearing a seat belt.
The cause of this crash is still under investigation.
