ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. -
Five Corners in Essex Junction is a little brighter at night.
That's because the town tree was lit Wednesday.
It was part of the annual "Tree Lighting and Train Hop." Organizers expected 1,500 people to come out.
Folks could jump on a small train and stop at places all around the village.
"It's an amazing time when community organizations and businesses open their doors and do train-related and themed displays and activities to help bring the community out and respect the history of Essex Junction, our train community," says Kat Redniss, organizer.
Organizers say the event gets bigger and better every year.
