Attempted Robbery in Burlington/$ Reward For Information

Posted: Updated:
BURLINGTON, Vt. -

In crime files, Burlington police need your help solving an attempted armed robbery.

Police say the victim was walking on the corner of North and Park when a thin black man between the ages of 17 and 19, pulled out a knife and demanded the victim's wallet.

They fought, so police think the suspect may have fresh facial injuries.

There's a reward for any information because police say he may be linked to other crimes in the area.

"This for us is the 31st robbery in this year so we are doing anything that we can and pulling out all the stops and if this helps and encourages somebody to bring that information forward, then we're going to do that," Deputy Chief Andi Higbee said of the Burlington Police Department.

Police say it took the victim a half hour to report the attempted robbery.

It's actually a common problem, but if police are called immediately, there's a better chance of solving the crime.

If you have any information, call Burlington police.
