ANCHORAGE, Alaska -

Alaskan authorities release some details about Israel Keyes' suicide Wednesday afternoon.

Police say Keyes used a blade from a disposable shaving razor that was embedded into a pencil to cut his left wrist. He then used bedding material to strangle himself.

The suicide happened sometime between 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1 and 5:57 a.m. on Dec. 2, when he was found dead.

Police say there is no indication of any criminal involvement from anyone at the prison.

Pages of crumpled, blood soaked paper were found in Keyes' cell.

Authorities are analyzing them.
