PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -
Allegiant is announcing a new nonstop service between Plattsburgh and Fort Myers/Punta Gorda Wednesday.
A press release says the introductory one-way fare will be $109.99 one way. Flights start on February 23, 2013.
"We are pleased to bring a new affordable and convenient travel option for Plattsburgh residents," said Andrew C. Levy, Allegiant Travel Company President said in a press release.
The flights will operate twice a week.
"Plattsburgh International was already the affordable fun and sun airport for northern New York and the Montreal region, and now Punta Gorda and Southwest Florida join all of the other great destinations being enjoyed from Montreal's U.S. Airport," said Garry Douglas, President of the North Country Chamber of Commerce.
Allegiant says that the $109.99 introductory fare must be purchased by Dec 12 for travel by June 1.
