BURLINGTON, Vt. -
Students and faculty at Champlain College are getting lots of attention with a website and a film released.
The site is called Worst Thing About Coming Out.com.
It tells the stories of people in the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities and their struggles after declaring their sexual preferences.
The website's best moments have been distilled into a one hour film, directed by filmmaker and professor Robert Schmidt Barracano.
"The goal of it is to let people living in fear hear as many stories as possible so they have as much data as possible about what might happen to them if they come out good and bad," Barracano said.
The website gets thousands of views from all over the world, every day.
It was created in the wake of suicides and some viewers credit the site for saving their lives.
