WASHINGTON -
The U.S. Department of Education released its first-ever list detailing state-by-state high school graduation rates.
It looks like our area faired pretty well.
Education officials say they've found a new way to track rates so the data can't be compared to previous years.
Vermont had the second highest graduation rate, with 87 percent and is tied with Wisconsin.
Iowa took the top spot.
New Hampshire follows close behind, in third, with an 86 percent graduation rate, putting them in a tie with 5 other states.
New York came in 10th place at 77 percent.
