DANVILLE, Vt. -

Twinkies are becoming a hot item to find, ever since the company Hostess went out of business.  Now one Vermont company is boosting sales by adding the cream filled pastry to their product.

Remember the infamous Jesus toasters? Since their start in 2010 they have become a global product.

"People buy the toasters who don't even have electricity yet because it's some silly American collectable I guess," said CEO of Burnt Impressions, Galen Dively.

But now the owner is boosting sales with an added incentive, "I just started giving one away with each toaster."

Throwing in a Twinkie with each toaster, the cream filled pastry that is now quickly becoming a collector's item.

"I'm finding them now on ebay and I try to get them at the best price possible."

A box of Twinkies on ebay is averaging around 20 bucks a box, but Dively says it's worth it, "As long as I sell my toasters it doesn't hurt the business."

And so far he's found quite a few.

"I've got close to 25 hundred Twinkies. And I've got 7 thousand toasters so I will buy and give away a Twinkie with each toaster."

Gimmicky or genius? Either way it's working.

"It's taking off, people like their Twinkies or at least the idea of a Twinkie."

And with most of the operation happening in his Danville home, he's got some help.

His 7 year old son Galen, who believe it or not, has never had a Twinkie, "I never had them because I never knew that they existed."

And if Twinkies do disappear, getting your hands on one could be the hot Christmas gift of the year.
