VT Law School Cutting Jobs

Posted: Updated:
SOUTH ROYALTON, Vt. -

A Vermont school is facing the music in this tough economy and is cutting jobs.

The Vermont Law school is offering voluntary buyouts to staff.

The school may do that with faculty soon.

School officials say they are preparing for change that's about to sweep the legal profession and higher education.

Recently there's been a sharp drop in those applying to law schools, which has been triggered by a drop in the number of legal jobs open.

This year's class is about 200, while next year 50 less will graduate.
