SWANTON, Vt. -
Police in Swanton, Vt. are investigating a rash of copper thefts.
They say the copper was taken from underneath several seasonal cabins on Fairfield Pond and near the Swanton-Alburg Bridge that crosses Lake Champlain.
In one case, someone broke into a cabin to steal copper from inside.
Police say a number of sheds and garages were also vandalized.
