New York state announces home heating assistance will be available beginning November 19.
The state office of Temporary and Disability Assistance announced Thursday HEAP will be accepting applications for regular benefits.
This winter, the maximum regular HEAP benefit a household can get is $650.
Eligibility is based on income and household size.
Benefits are on a first come, first serve basis.
