WILLISTON, Vt. -
Hundreds of "Twihards" in Vermont turned out for the premiere of the last Twilight movie "Breaking Dawn Part 2."
In Williston Thursday, the line for the film started with Tonja Palmer.
"We've been here for all of them. It's the biggest thing of the year," says Palmer.
Palmer says she waited almost seven hours for the movie to start. But some fans even went farther for their favorite film.
"It was late in the game but I'm glad and we started our friendship over it," says Amy Richardson.
Richardson was with her friend Jaime Peryea. They say they traveled to Oregon earlier this year to see where the film was shot.
For the premiere, Richardson says her outfit was custom made and inspired by one of the film's characters, Bella.
"Can you say how much you spent on it?" asked FOX 44/ABC 22.
"Oh no, my mom might kill me," says Richardson.
The movies have been huge at the box office. The first four made a total of $2-billion worldwide. Making twilight the 10th most profitable film franchise.
While it's now coming to a close, no matter what team fans are on, Edward or Jacob, many entered the theater with hopes this final Twilight movie was not the last time they would see Bella, Edward, and Jacob.
"Hopefully there's a TV spin off or something goes on. Twilight just can't end," says Palmer.
There were about 2,000 showings across the country Thursday night.
Industry estimates are that the movie will make about $150-million in its debut. What would be a record for the franchise.
