Record Breaking Warm Temperatures

Posted: Updated:
ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. -

The record breaking temperatures had people outdoors, enjoying it while it lasts. It's been just about a month since Killington Ski Resort opened giving people nothing to think about but snow. Fast forward to November 12th, people were shedding the clothes.

"A lot of my friends went skiing over the weekend and now I'm here about to take off my sweatshirt because it's a little warm," said Andy Churchill of Colchester, Vermont.

A little warm? More like record breaking warm temperatures, Burlington reached 70 degrees.

So you can imagine the Links at Lang Farm in Essex Junction was busy.

"There were a lot of people playing hooky today," said Golf Course Operations Manager, Brett Clace.

Like this group of guys who didn't want to go on camera in fear of getting in trouble with the boss.

"A few people came in with a cough but I don't think it was really a cough," said Clace.

Jon and Jennifer woods say they wouldn't have missed this weather for anything.

"We're just trying to enjoy the last day of golf, we think this will be it for the year, we think there might be snow after this. And every day is a plus," said Jon Woods, of Essex Junction, Vermont.

"It's definitely very nice to be out here in a light jacket, so yes, I guess I am a little surprised but I' m very happy," said Jennifer Woods, of Essex Junction, Vermont.
