Vermont's Minimum Wage Set to Increase in January

MONTPELIER, Vt. -

Vermont's minimum wage is set to increase in January.

The current rate is $8.46. That will be bumped up 14 cents to $8.60.

The wage is tied to inflation, which by state law automatically increases.

Service and tipped employees who get some of their income in the form of tips, will see their minimum wage go from its current $4.10 to $4.17.
