Some Green Mountain Power Employees Are Back From Connecticut

Posted: Updated:
COLCHESTER, Vt. -

Some Green Mountain Power employees are back from Connecticut.

They were helping restore power to Sandy victims.

Last week, FOX44 and ABC22 told you about a convoy of about 75 employees headed to areas most impacted.

The company says it's happy to do what it can.

"It really means a lot to be able to go down and help people out," Dorothy Schnure, GMP Spokesperson, said. "I think when our crews get down there and see how desperate people are who have been without power for so long, I think it really feels good to be able to help them by bringing their power back on."

Some of GMP's employees are still in Connecticut.

They're waiting for instructions on where to go next.
