BURLINGTON, Vt. -
Many organizations across the northeast are trying to recover and the Red Cross blood drive is no exception.
The donor center says about 200 drives were canceled Monday, resulting in about 7,000 pints of blood lost.
According to officials, that will have a major impact on blood needs.
"Red Cross needs 44-thousand pints of blood a day to operate and serve hospitals. So it's quite the impact," Chris Frenette, Account Executive of the Red Cross Donor Center, said.
The Red Cross says many drive locations will be out of commission for awhile.
If you're able, they ask that you please help out by donating blood.
