Here is a list of closings and cancellations due to Hurricane Sandy.
Vermont & New York school closings
The Peru Central School District will have early dismissal on Monday. Middle/High schools will release students at 11:50 a.m. Elementary schools will release at 1 p.m.
All SUNY Plattsburgh classes and activities Monday from 2 p.m. on have been canceled at the main campus, as well as the Branch Campus at Queensbury and the extension site at Hudson Valley Community College.
Clinton Community College in Plattsburgh, New York will close at 4 p.m. Monday
Planned Parenthood of the North Country New York will be closing all health centers at Noon on Monday. They will also be closed on Tuesday. Weather permitting, they will reopen on Wednesday.
The Chester Police, Fire and Recreation Departments are requesting that the residents of the town of Chester keep your children inside for Halloween. The departments are advising that Halloween will be postponed until Wednesday November 7, 2012.
Community College of Vermont is canceling classes 3 p.m. and later on in Winooski & St. Albans.
The October 30th student matinee presentation of "Animal Farm" at the Flynn Center in Burlington, Vt., for the Performing Arts is canceled. It is rescheduled for Wednesday, January 9 at 9:30 am.
All Community Health Centers of Burlington (CHCB) medical, dental and behavioral health clinics will be Monday at 3 p.m. and reopening Tuesday at Noon. Patients are encouraged to call 864-6309 to make sure CHCB is open before going to their appointment.
CVAA's annual meeting that was scheduled for Tuesday at the Doubletree Hotel in South Burlington with Keynote Speaker Madeleine Kunin has been canceled
