Police Continue Investigation of Clandestine Lab in Hinesburg, VT

HINESBURG, Vt. -

Police are continuing their investigation of a possible clandestine lab in Hinesburg, Vt.

About 20 Vt. Hazmat crew members are gearing up at the Williston State Police barracks to head to Hinesburg.

State Police say they are closing part of Texas Hill Road between Thunder Drive and Bishop Road. The road will remain closed while the investigation of the lab continues.

Police say local schools have been notified in the event alternative bus routes need to be taken. Neighboring homeowners have also been notified.

Medical crews received a call Tuesday afternoon that Jacob Bernio, 19, of Hinesburg, Vt. was burned at a home on Texas Hill Road.

He was taken to Fletcher Allen to receive treatment.

Hospital officials at Fletcher Allen say the Hinesburg, Vt. man that was burned Tuesday afternoon is listed in fair condition.

Police say there is no immediate threat to the community.
