Posted: Updated:
SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Some Barnes and Noble customers across the country might want to double check their credit card statements and change their debit card pin numbers.

The New York Times reports 63 stores have been breached.

It states that hackers broke into keypads at registers and stole credit card information as recently as last month.

What's not being reported at this time is which stores are affected.

According to the Times article, keypads in all Barnes & Noble stores have been turned off and sent to a company to look at.

FOX44 and ABC22 called the local store in South Burlington, Vt. and they could not comment at this time.
