ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. -
Police say 42-year-old Brian Reap entered an occupied home on Killoran Drive in Essex Junction, Vt. Monday morning.
The homeowner heard a door close to the garage and after investigating saw a man in a red bandana exiting the garage.
Police located Reap about an hour later. Police say they found a stolen handgun in his possession from a separate burglary that occurred on Loubier Drive. Reap also took prescription medications.
Police say they are still investigating this incident.
Reap is currently charged with burglary and unlawful trespass. He is being lodged at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility.
