Champlain College Receives $10 Million Grant

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Burlington's Champlain College has received the largest gift in the school's 134 year history.

The $10 million will go toward capital improvements, attracting professors and reaching out to area companies.

It was a gift to the business school from Green Mountain Coffee Roaster's founder Robert Stiller.

And those at Champlain College say the business school will be renamed in honor of Stiller.

"We want to help invigorate the economy of Vermont and northern New England. By putting the name on this school, we speak directly to all that Green Mountain Coffee Roasters has done in this regard for Vermont and New England," David Finney, President of Champlain College, said.

The school will also introduce new courses to teach future business leaders to listen to ideas from every corner of their company.
