Burlington Mayor Raises Concerns Over "Barstool Blackout Party"

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Burlington Mayor, Miro Weinberger is raising concerns over a "Barstool Blackout" party held at the city's Memorial Auditorium Friday night.

According to Weinberger, his concerns were that the party was approved by a city parks & recreation employee and that there was overcrowding at the party.

Seventeen people were cited at the event. According to a press release from the Burlington Police Department, 3 of the 13 detoxed were transported to Fletcher Allen for treatment.  

Police say all of those detoxed were under the age of 21.
 
Weinberger said in a press conference Monday afternoon that his administration is developing a uniform plan for event approval in the city.
