BURLINGTON, Vt. -
A few days after being shot, Reggie Condra, 25, of Burlington, Vt., feels lucky.
"I'm very thankful to be here," said Condra.
Late Friday night, he was going to a friend's house, when he noticed two guys walking slowly in front of him in Burlington on Intervale Avenue.
"When it came time for me to pass them, on the street, they circled around me and told me to give them everything that they have," said Condra.
Condra did.
He gave up his cell phone, credit card, keys and passport.
After that he was told to run, but he says the two guys weren't done with him yet.
"He let off one shot in the air and then another at me and I was I was probably 10 feet away from him," said Condra.
Remarkably the bullet didn't cause severe damage and Condra was able to run a half mile to his house.
"I would expect a gunshot to be more gruesome than it was, so it was hard to believe that I was shot, but I knew that something had happened," said Condra.
On Monday, police continued to search for the two men.
They put out sketches of the suspects, both in their early 20's.
Police consider them to be armed and dangerous and believe this attack was random.
For Condra, he's recovering from a shattered rib and will have to miss a week from work, but he's hoping to face the men who did this in court sometime soon.
"That's what you do," said Condra.
