BURLINGTON, Vt. -
For the 5th year, the American Red Cross is inviting people to thank a hero.
Now through December 7th, the Holiday Mail for Heroes mailbox is open.
The idea is to send simple messages of thanks to military members who are deployed or hospitalized over the holiday season.
The Red Cross says it's a great way to show appreciation to the military community.
So far, the project has been a success.
