BURLINGTON, Vt. -

A group of Vermont athletes use their love for soccer to help out the community.

The American Outlaws of Vermont is one of the 70 chapters nationwide.

It's mainly a U.S. Soccer Supporters Club, but it also contributes to local charities.

Friday night, the Vermont chapter will celebrate it's one year anniversary at RI RA in downtown Burlington, Vt. with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Wounded Warriors Project.

"We contributed a dozen soccer balls to the Boys and Girls Club of Burlington. We've held charity fundraisers for Vermont's Irene relief funds," Tom Komaromi, President of AO Vermont, said.

They also, recently, helped raise more than $14,000 for the Saint Baldrick's Foundation.

The event begins at 7 p.m. during a world qualifying match between the U.S. and Antigua.
