Three Guitars Stolen from Lebanon Store; $15,000 value

LEBANON, N.H. -

Neil Laurent has tons of tools to repair damaged guitars brought to him at his Bear Hollow Vintage Guitar store. But since early Wednesday morning there's only been quick fix in place after police say someone drove through a side door.

"Knocked the bottom part of the glass out. Glass was all over here," Laurent said.

Then the burglar stole three guitars. All together valued at $15,000.

"It was tough, it was tough to have to sit here and clean up the store for all day long," Laurent said.

Bear Hollow Vintage Guitars has been around for years but Neil and his wife Sally just opened this store location at 345 Miracle Mile in May. Their loyal customers followed them here and as a costly break-in has shaken the Laurents' up others have come to their aid.

"Somebody just came into the store just to say, ‘hey everything ok?'" Laurent said.

The late night burglar who came in through this door has the owners thinking that the person had been in the store before.

"The three guitars that were taken were completely on the other side of the store and so he knew just exactly. Which meant to me he's probably been in the store," Laurent said.

Now some of their regulars are helping spread the word posting warnings on craigslist about the stolen guitars and telling others. Neil Laurent has a message for the burglar too.

"I feel sorry for the guy. I really do."
