Veterans in NY Are Getting Recognized on Their Driver's License

ALBANY, N.Y. -

Veterans in New York are getting recognized on their driver's license.

Governor Cuomo signed legislation Wednesday allowing the DMV to place a mark on a vet's driver's license or non-driver ID.

This will indicate the holder is a veteran.

Under law, vets can request this mark from the DMV.

Cuomo says many businesses across the country provide discounts to veterans.

This law will make it convenient for them to verify they are actually a vet.
