BURLINGTON, Vt. -
Three months ago, a handful of homeless people in Burlington lost the only "home" they had.
Torrential rains left the COTS Daystation under water.
Temporary locations are being used, while they search for a new and permanent shelter. Donations from generous Vermonters rolled in, but now, they're desperately in need of meals for at least forty people.
"If you ever have doubt if there's good in the world, if there's hope in the world, I can assure you that there is because I have been very deeply touched by our community and how great they have been to help us through this," Becky Holt of COTS said.
COTS Daystation is where the homeless wash their clothes, check and receive mail, apply for jobs and get perhaps their only bite to eat for the entire day.
