MONKTON, Vt. -
Vermont State Police are investigating a burglary in Monkton, Vt. where several items were stolen including an urn containing the ashes of the victim's deceased infant child.
According to police, the subject(s) also stole an oak jewelry box containing an 18" herringbone necklace with matching earrings and a 14 karat gold ring with Garnet (red) stone.
The burglary took place sometime between the hours of 8:25 a.m. and 4:40 p.m. Monday.
The press release says the subject(s) may have placed the items in a green pillow case that was stolen from the home.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Vermont State Police at (802)-388-4919.
