About 200 people showed up this weekend for the annual Vermont Heart Walk.
FOX44 and ABC22 was a proud sponsor of the event this year. Our own Lauren Maloney and Chelsea Ingram were in attendance.
The money raised goes to the Vermont Heart Association to fight heart disease, the number one killer of women in the US.
FOX44 and ABC22 spoke with people at the walk in Winooski who have been personally impacted by heart disease.
"It's about the heart. What we should and shouldn't be doing. And it brings people close. You know, when I had my attack I didn't want to be around people. And the American Heart Association made sure that I was able to interact with other people," Bess Robertson, Heart Attack Survivor, said.
They raised $60,000 this year and every dollar will stay in Vermont.
