BURLINGTON, Vt. -
A Vermont judge dismissed a lawsuit filed by Burlington residents.
They sued the city seeking repayment of mismanaged Telecom funds.
According to court papers, the lawsuit sought the return of $17 million dollars.
That money was originally borrowed from the city account between 2007 and 2010.
But, the judge says taking that money from Burlington Telecom, to repay taxpayers, would hurt the company and have a negative effect on the city.
