Voters in Waterbury, Vt. are getting ready to decide the fate of their police department.
The village is citing budget concerns.
Village trustees decided to put the item on the upcoming November ballot.
A public hearing is scheduled Tuesday to discuss abolishing the police department.
If voters approve it in November, it would still need approval from the Vermont Legislature.
