It appears the hot summer we've had, has helped dull the economic effects of a dry winter.
At least officials in Lake Placid, N.Y. seem to think so.
According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, visitation and revenue were both up to about 12% for the summer.
They say they took in a cool quarter of a million dollars.
This was due to more events and indoor skating programs.
