WINDSOR, Vt. -
Juniper Hill Inn owner and former antique dealer Robert Dean no longer has the space for many of his collected treasures
"We don't need it and if someone buys it, it goes to a great home," Dean said.
He's now hoping to sell many them to the community.
"We're not even going to be tagging most of it. People are coming in and I'm saying "how much will you give me?" Dean said.
A few key items: a grand piano, a Baccarat crystal chandelier, dressers, lamps artwork and much more. For all of this he's hoping to earn somewhere between $25,000 and $50,000. As for what's left over from his sale?
"Donate it to needy families because it's all good stuff," Dean said.
"They're even selling the RV they've been living in and moving into Juniper Hill Inn by the end of October.
We want it to feel like a house. It's different from a standard inn. And we're keeping enough to make it still feel like a home but also meeting the expectations of what Ramsey said," Dean said.
Dean is selling many of his possessions because TV star Gordon Ramsey came to the Juniper Hill Inn and advised him that it was too cluttered. But much of it were things Dean picked up in his time as an antique dealer and while traveling the world.
"Is it kind of hard to see some of that stuff go?" I asked Dean.
"Not if we get six rooms and a pool," Dean responded laughing.
Dean plans on making the inn even bigger and more accommodating.
As for what's not needed, Dean hopes it will fit in perfectly to other homes.
