PUTNEY, Vt. -
Police are investigating a crash involving a pedestrian.
Police say at 9:30 Wednesday morning, 39-year-old Douglas Plitt stepped into traffic along Route 5 in Putney, Vt. and was hit by a car.
Plitt suffered head injuries as a result and died.
He had no identification on him so police didn't identify him until later in the day when his family reported him missing.
Police say the driver of the car was not at fault.
