DANVILLE, Vt. -
Vermont State Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Danville, Vt. Tuesday night.
A press release says a suspect was injured during the incident and is currently in stable condition. The suspect is being transported to Dartmouth Medical Center for treatment.
The incident took place in the parking lot area of the Danville school. The school was closed and unoccupied at the time.
Police say due to the ongoing investigating, they are withholding the names of the suspect and trooper involved in the incident.
Per policy, the trooper is on administrative leave, with pay.
The press release states more information will be provided later Wednesday.
