BRATTLEBORO, Vt. -

A Vermont man charged with killing his boss at a Brattleboro, Vt. co-op is set to go on trial in January.

Richard Gagnon was a wine manager at this co-op.

He's charged with 1st degree murder for shooting assistant manager Michael Martin in August last year.

According to the Brattleboro Reformer, the trial is expected to last 3 weeks.

Gagnon's lawyer says at the time of the shooting, he was suffering from "diminished capacity."

If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.
